Landry’s Inc. recognized Eagle Promotions with its National Retail Vendor of the Year Award.

Eagle Promotions is a minority-owned company specializing in custom-branded merchandise, fashion and trend forecasting, screen printing and overseas sourcing.

The award was presented at Landry’s 2016 Leadership Conference.

NAIOP honors local chapter

NAIOP, the commercial real estate development association, has honored its Southern Nevada chapter with the chapter merit award for legislative/government affairs.

The awards, recognizing the best in special events, publications, membership and legislative advocacy, are presented annually at NAIOP’s Chapter Leadership &Legislative Retreat in Washington, D.C.

The Southern Nevada chapter’s government affairs committee meets monthly with local, state and federal elected officials, candidates and governmental agency heads, which lets members build relationships with policymakers and provide insight into business’s needs. Members generate funds for a political action committee, testify on state and local issues and attend legislative hearings and City Council and County Commission meetings on behalf of NAIOP and the industry.

Veterans Home receives awards

The Nevada State Veterans Home, the 180-bed home for veterans, spouses and Gold Star parents, has received the 2016 Customer Experience Award from Pinnacle Quality Insight.

The home qualified for 22 awards in the three-home neighborhood wings in 11 categories ranging from nursing care and cleanliness to activities, professional therapy services and safety.

Federal agency honors Maverick Helicopters

Maverick Helicopters, a division of Maverick Aviation Group, received the Federal Aviation Administration’s 2015 Award of Excellence Diamond Award for safety and maintenance practices.

The company has received this honor five consecutive years. Maverick Helicopters’ maintenance technicians recorded more than 2,755 hours of training in 2015. More than 1,900 of those hours were provided through the company’s homegrown training courses. All of Maverick Helicopters’ eligible maintenance technicians also obtained individual awards through in-house and factory training.

Two law partners become fellows

Snell &Wilmer said Leon F. Mead II and Bob L. Olson have accepted invitations from the American Bar Foundation board of directors to become foundation fellows.

Mead and Olson join eight Snell &Wilmer attorneys in becoming fellows this year. Membership is limited to 1 percent of the lawyers admitted to practice in the United States and its territories, and to a limited number of lawyers in jurisdictions outside the country.

The foundation aims to serve legal professionals, the public and the academy through research, publications and programs that advance justice and the understanding of law and its impact on society. Mead has been handling construction law matters for over 26 years, his practice primarily devoted to representation of public and private owners, developers, contractors, specialty contractors, construction managers, material suppliers and design professionals. Olson focuses his practice on corporate restructuring, bankruptcy, insolvency, secured and real estate transactions, commercial law and commercial litigation.

Staffing firm receives client award

Cornerstone Staffing Solutions Inc. won Inavero’s Best of Staffing Client Award for providing superior service to their clients. The award is presented in partnership with CareerBuilder.

On average, clients of winning agencies are nearly three times likelier to be completely satisfied with the services provided compared to those working with nonwinning agencies. Cornerstone Staffing Solutions received satisfaction scores of nine or 10 out of 10 from their clients, significantly higher than the industry’s average of 27 percent.

Las Vegas autism treatment agency honored

Achievable Behavior Strategies, a Las Vegas behavioral service agency, has received an award from the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence.

The award celebrates exceptional special needs providers that excel in the areas of clinical quality, staff satisfaction and qualifications and consumer satisfaction.

These areas are measured via a wide-ranging audit including interviews with agency clinical leadership, detailed staff qualification review, an anonymous staff satisfaction survey and an anonymous consumer satisfaction survey.
