Real Estate Expo Las Vegas is a two-day event beginning at 8 a.m. at Cashman Center, 850 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

The Expo will include the latest installment of the Las Vegas Housing Outlook, presented by Southwest Gas Corp., while the event’s informational sessions will cover home-buying, mortgage financing, financial planning, home technology and programs to help home-buyers.

Panelists include Frank Wyatt, president of Southern Nevada Home Builders Association and founder and president of Pinnacle Homes; Bob Potts, research director for the Governor’s Office of Economic Development; and Michele Caprio, CEO of the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors. The presentation features an in-depth look at consumer housing demand by Dennis Smith, Home Builders Research Inc. president and CEO, providing insight on the local housing market from a panel of top local industry experts.

The Federalist Society Las Vegas Chapter luncheon will explore the topic “Marijuana Law: High on Federalism” with Ilya Shapiro, senior fellow in constitutional studies for the Cato Institute, at 11:45 a.m. at Fogo de Chao Churrascaria Restaurant, 360 E.
