The Women’s Council of Realtors-Las Vegas will recognize the 2016 “Top 25 Women in Real Estate” on April 22.
The program honors Southern Nevada’s top women in residential real estate based on their business success, community service, contribution to the real estate industry and professional association involvement.
“Women’s Council of Realtors started the ‘Top 25 Women in Real Estate’ program in 2014 in a response to a vacancy in the market place for the recognition of the industry’s top women and their dedication and hard work to our real estate field,” Jillian Batchelor, immediate past president of Women’s Council of Realtors-Las Vegas, said in a statement. “Our mission is to advance women as professionals and leaders in business, the real estate industry and the communities in which they serve. The women honored mirror that mission and are the real leaders in real estate in the Las Vegas valley.”
Batchelor added that the recipients sold nearly $1 billion in real estate combined in one year.
“It’s not just based on production but on community service and service to the real estate community to help real estate endeavors move forward,” she said. “We also want to see that they’re true entrepreneurs and that they led business ventures elsewhere while doing real estate.”
The 2016 ‘Top 25 Women in Real Estate’ recipients are: Nora Aguirre, Mary Baca, Dani Bald, Jillian Batchelor, Michelle Bush, Leslie Carver, Delinda Crampton, Ellen Fahr, Laura Harbison, Tamara Heidel, Valentina Herzog, Genesis Jameson, Melissa Machat, Michelle Manley, Trish Nash, Joanna Piette, Mary Preheim, Joyce Reed, Kristen Routh-Silberman, Shari Sanderson, Robin Smith, Iryna Sysenko, Cheryl Van Elsis, Diane Varney and Brandy White Elk.
Women’s Council of Realtors President Merri Perry said the Las Vegas chapter was founded in 1968 and boasts nearly 250 members, 10 percent of whom are male.
She added that the organization is focused on charitable work in the community and partners with dozens of local nonprofits including Three Square Food Bank.
“You get to be around like-minded, influential realtors who are active in the community,” she said. “We’re a referral-based network that cares a lot about the community.”
The “Top 25 Women in Real Estate” winners will be recognized on April 22 at TI.
