Matrix Trampoline Park offers thrills

The idea behind Matrix Trampoline Park was born several years ago when Joseph DeBlanco’s sons took him to his first trampoline park.

“From the moment I took my first bounce, I knew immediately how I was going to improve upon the environment,” he said.

DeBlanco, who graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, said after he formed his team of three others he secured a patent with help from his engineering background.

“Matrix Trampoline Park is like Chuck E. Cheese on crack,” he said. “Our trampoline attractions are insane.”

DeBlanco said the park also consists of a rock wall, which lets climbers fall from the ceiling into a foam pit, along with a dodgeball stadium and ninja course.

“You can’t do this anywhere else,” he said. “There is no other place on the planet like Matrix Trampoline Park. You just have to see it to believe it.”

DeBlanco said the environment is the most successful thing about his company.

“We’re able to engage customers of all ages because we got the environment right,” he said. “Grandkids to grandparents will love to be at Matrix.”

The competition, DeBlanco said, has provided the team with guidance and direction along their startup path.

“The attention is definitely humbling,” DeBlanco said of being named one of the five finalists. “But at the same time, the excitement is building as the results draw near.”
