Q: What are you reading?

A: I am currently reading “Millenial Samarai,” based on the mindset of the 21st century by Geroge Chanos. I would recommend this book to college students who are starting their careers, parents with young children, and basically, anyone wanting to be the best version of themselves. It’s a great read and I plan to revisit it frequently.

Q: What is your favorite restaurants or place to take clients?

A: Oh, goodness where to even begin. Every casino property in this town has a magnificent place to take a client. I’d recommend Mayfair at Bellagio, as it’s an experience everyone should get to have. Bavette’s at Park MGM is best for the clients with a sweet tooth so you can wrap up with their decadent chocolate pie. Aside from the Strip, Esther’s Kitchen off of Main Street in downtown is great for delicious housemade pasta. One of my favorites is the Vegas Test Kitchen located on Fremont Street, as they always have evolving options to please everyone in the group.

Q: How do you decompress after a long week?

A: There are a few things that always do the trick for me. I start with a good stretch and posture correction, which helps alleviate some backaches from sitting at my desk all week. Then I spend some time outside in nature, which always helps me feel grounded. Nothing crazy, just simple things like a trip to a park, going on a bike ride or hitting a trail. If I’m crunched for time, a stroll through the neighborhood with a cup of coffee does the trick, too.

Q: What do you like most about living and/or working in Las Vegas?

A: I like the variety of restaurants offered, and the fact that there are always a million things to do. Anything from heading to the mountains to live entertainment and fantastic spas. I also love that Vegas is such a big city but has such a tight-knit community.

Q: What is the biggest challenges facing Southern Nevada?

A: I think one of the biggest challenges Nevada faces is with our education system. Schools are struggling to find quality teachers and enough of them to support the youth in our community. We, of course, want the best for our local youth and students, so I’m hopeful over the next few years they will be able to attract great teachers and see an improvement in our education system.
