The Huddle Up Challenge, hosted by the National Football League Alumni, Las Vegas Chapter, will hold its second event at Worre Studios on Feb. 15.
The event was developed by the Las Vegas chapter of the National Football League Alumni to grow local businesses in a fun and competitive way. The model of traditional networking events can offer engagement with others and resources but can be awkward or even unproductive. The Challenge was developed as a unique opportunity to combine team building, fun and philanthropy. At each event, businesses are highlighted with special guests and several prizes.
All participants engage in a series of interactive challenges that promote collaboration, creativity and friendly competition, where every challenge conquered will contribute directly to fundraising. Each event offers four zones: Connect, Refresh, Money and Finance. This encourages teamwork and creativity to showcase skills, strategize with fellow players and seize the opportunity to develop potential business relationships, all while scoring points. Beginning with a Huddle Up at the Sports Desk at Center Field to meet the head coaches, the event continues with networking, a halftime show and post-game report, announcing a Most Valuable Player. Guests also can score points by tasting Las Vegas, with local restaurants, in the Refresh Zone.

Its inaugural challenge kicked off Jan. 17 to benefit the NFL Alumni Las Vegas Chapter and its Caring for Kids program.
“Engaging with the NFL Alumni in our monthly Huddle Up has been a game-changer for Unique Eats. It’s about more than elevating our business. It’s about connecting with the vibrant Las Vegas community and growing together,” said Chef Dominic Tedesco, owner of Unique Eats.
“Huddle Up differs from other networking events by forcing interaction through the game portion. Through this mechanism, organic conversations are born, and the awkward, ‘Hi, my name is so-and-so. What do you do?’ no longer takes place. It’s fun, interactive, and productive,” said event participant Shelly Britian, chief operating officer and co-owner of Kelly Corp.
The challenges encourage meaningful interactions, including insights into philanthropy, business speed dating, lasting relationships and access to community resources. This event brings together NFL Alumni members, local businesses, organizations and government agencies.
“It’s a wonderful experience. The networking is amazing and a great cause in supporting former NFL players and the community,” said event participant Tom Chandler, owner of Partyman Entertainment.
“Huddle Up not only brings small and big business owners together but does so in a fun and vibrant way. The networking aspect serves as a natural icebreaker, making connections more enjoyable. This unique approach promotes local business growth and supports children’s charities through fundraising efforts, adding a meaningful dimension to the community’s impact,” said event participant Brandon Muse, CEO and personal trainer at Museful Personal Training.
The National Football League Alumni (NFL Alumni) brings together retired professional sports players. The NFL Alumni advocates for all its former players and gives back to its communities by raising funds for youth charities. NFL Alumni was established in 1967; the NFL Alumni’s fundraising efforts have raised more than $1 million per year for charity.
The local chapter will hold its “Rediscover Business Passion, Heartfelt Connections: Uniting Business and Community” event will be held at Worre Studios, 7175 S. Bel Castro St., from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 15. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at huddleuplv.com.
