Tripp Lbs moving plant, HQ to Henderson

Electric car manufacturer Faraday Future isn’t the only corporation about to call Southern Nevada home.

A few days before Gov. Brian Sandoval gave the final approval on Dec. 19 to bring the Los Angeles-based auto company to North Las Vegas, Trigg Laboratories of Valencia, Calif., announced it will move its headquarters and manufacturing facilities to Las Vegas.

The company, which has spent the past 25 years manufacturing premium sexual wellness and consumer healthcare products, will occupy a 70,000-square-foot space in the Blue Diamond Business Center at 4220 W. Windmill Lane in July.

The Blue Diamond Business Center, which is owned and operated by Las Vegas-based Juliet Cos., is a 110-acre master planned business community that spans more than 1.5 million square feet of existing, under construction and planned industrial office and warehouse space.

According to President Sean Smith, Trigg Laboratories initially began talking about the possibility of relocating two years ago.

“The worst place a company can manufacture is in California,” he said. “It’s all about the long-term health of the company and finding a place whose climate favored manufacturing.”

Smith said the company will be receiving several incentives to move to Nevada.

“We were incentivized by procuring a property, taking part in a tax abatement program, ease of moving our facility and investment credits,” he said. “Nevada was ultimately the place we wanted to be.”

The company also looked at Florida, Texas, New York and the Carolinas before deciding on the Silver State.

“Texas was going to pay for our move and acquisition of a property, but we couldn’t get most of our staff to move there,” Smith said.

Nearly 25 employees are expected to relocate, Smith said, and the company expected to add 35 to 65 jobs at its Southern Nevada facility.

Smith said the company has been welcomed with open arms in Nevada and he’s looking forward to the future.

“I’m excited to continue to grow the company and I’m looking forward to working within a state and government that promotes business, employment and helps its people be productive members of society,” he said. “Being in Southern Nevada will give us financial freedom to invest and grow our business, hire more people and help them live productive lives.”
