GIVING BACK JULY 31

Walmart Foundation gives $46,150 to Three Square

On July 27, Walmart, on behalf of the Walmart Foundation, presented Three Square Food Bank with a $46,150 State Giving grant to support the organization’s BackPack for Kids Program. Three Square is Southern Nevada’s only food bank providing food assistance to the residents of Lincoln, Nye, Esmeralda and Clark Counties.

Following the check presentation, representatives from Three Square and Walmart packed backpacks for the BackPack for Kids Program. This initiative provides bags of nutritious, single-serving, ready-to-eat food items each Friday during the school year and summer months, to children who might otherwise go without during weekends and long breaks from school.

“Marriage Can Be Murder” participates in Restaurant Week

“Marriage Can Be Murder,” a long-running dinner show at the D Las Vegas, participated in Three Square’s Restaurant Week from June 19 to June 30. During Restaurant Week, a portion of the shows’ ticket sales, totaling more than $1,400, were donated to Three Square.

At the conclusion of Restaurant Week, the show’s entire cast spent a day volunteering at the food bank and presented the check with their donation money.
