For the eighth year, NV Energy employees and family members spent Martin Luther King, Jr. Day volunteering at Three Square Food Bank as part of the national MLK Day of Service.
NV Energy volunteers filled bags for Three Square’s BackPack for Kids Program, which provides food to children who lack adequate nutrition during the weekend. The 84 employees and their families filled 6,010 bags between 9 – 11:30 a.m., a new Three Square record.
The MLK Day of Service is a national initiative inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who devoted his life’s work to causes of equality and social justice.
