Las Vegas has been named one of the world’s top Dream Destinations in the 2025 Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Dream Destinations Report. The city joins an elite list of destinations known for unparalleled lifestyle and investment opportunity.
The annual report highlights cities with extraordinary lifestyle appeal and long-term real estate potential. This year, Las Vegas earned its place on the list thanks to its unique blend of entertainment, outdoor recreation, luxury living and economic advantages. Local insights in the report are provided by Troy Reierson, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties.
“Las Vegas has evolved into a place where people don’t just visit, they stay, invest and build a life,” Reierson said. “Being named a Dream Destination validates what we’re seeing on the ground every day. This city has transformed into one of the most exciting and livable markets in the country. For those of us who call Las Vegas home, we’ve always known it was something special, but now the world is seeing it, too.”
Las Vegas continues to attract discerning buyers seeking both excitement and sanctuary. With no state income tax, proximity to world-class entertainment and a growing roster of professional sports teams, the city has become a top destination for primary and secondary homeowners.
The local luxury real estate market reflects that momentum. In recent years, sales of homes priced at more than $1 million have surged. Ultra-luxury homes priced at more than $10 million are now seeing more activity than ever. According to Reierson, homes are regularly selling in the $15 million to $20 million range, with properties reaching as high as $35 million.
“Vegas is electric,” Reierson said in the report. “And for high-end buyers, as much as they want their privacy, they want the electricity, too.”
Featured in the report alongside destinations like Madrid and Los Cabos, Las Vegas exemplifies a growing trend: the rise of the secondary primary home. More buyers are spending extended time in leisure markets and enrolling in local communities — a shift that continues to reshape luxury housing across the country.
“This recognition isn’t just about real estate,” Reierson added. “It’s about how far Las Vegas has come as a community, and how much possibility still lies ahead.”
