REALTOR DIANE VARNEY EARNS MARILYN SQUITIERI AWARD

Last week, Coldwell Banker Premier Realty celebrated an incredible year of production, topping $1 billion in sales volume in 2020, at its Annual Awards Celebration. Its top recognition of the year, the Marilyn Squitieri Award, was given to honoree Diane Varney, a native Las Vegan and real estate professional since 2004.

“On the tails of a year with limited social interaction and basic human contact, I am eternally grateful for the love and appreciation that I felt on this life-changing day,” Varney said. “To be associated with the name Marilyn Squitieri and past recipients of this award, and to be personally selected by the CEO and COO, is the greatest honor a CBPR associate can ever receive.”

Awarded to fewer than 20 people since its inception, the Marilyn Squitieri Award is given to a tenured support or sales professional who consistently demonstrates high standards of service, productivity, and leadership. Additionally, Varney was selected for her many contributions to the real estate industry, the Southern Nevada community and her company where she has already achieved every award level over the last decade.

“I am very proud and honored to call Diane Varney my good friend and loyal confidant,” said Bob Hamrick, chairman and CEO of Coldwell Banker Premier Realty. “She has been an amazing representative of our brokerage and always shares her knowledge with others.”

The award is named after former CBPR top-producing sales associate, Marilyn Squitieri, who was deeply respected by and who retired in 1996. Squitieri addressed the attendees by audio recording with a message of perseverance during challenges by adapting and adopting a growth mindset.

“Ability alone cannot get you to the top,” Squitieri said. “You must also have character and discipline.”

The awards ceremony, normally held in person at the Smith Center, was live streamed on YouTube to over 300 people.
