▶ Title: Attorney by day, Tennis player and cancer research fundraiser by night (and by weekends)
▶ Company: Snell &Wilmer
▶ What do you REALLY do? I help clients solve complex problems.
▶ What’s the best part of your job: Working with intelligent and charismatic co-workers. Law really is a profession defined by people.
▶ What accomplishment in the past year are you most proud of: Our fundraising group, CancerResearchRacquet.com, raised enough money to privately fund three cancer research doctors.
▶ Where’s the best place to network: Roland Garros (in Paris), which is where our firm hosts an annual benefit in support of our cancer research efforts. Everyone is invited.
▶ Facebook or LinkedIn: LinkedIn.
▶ Favorite off-work activity: Playing with my kids — there’s never a dull moment.
▶ What’s your favorite professional association, community or charitable involvement: CancerResearchRacquet.com – it’s a group that raises money to support cancer research doctors through the American Cancer Society’s “Pay If” program.
▶ What do you drive: Whatever my wife tells me to drive.
▶ Beer or wine: Beer.
▶ What do you want to be doing in 2025: Exactly what I’m doing right now.
▶ What’s the best advice you’ve received: Do what makes you happy and do it now. Spending time around people with cancer helps reinforce this advice. Don’t spend even a day being miserable because you just never know how many days you have. If you are unhappy, make a change and make it immediately.
▶ How do you define success: This is an easy one. I try to do the absolute best I can at everything I do. At the end of the day, if I’ve done my best, I call that a win.
