▶ What do you REALLY do? I provide guidance and support to employees, help them troubleshoot processing problems, and also identify inefficiencies in operating procedures in the production of manganese dioxide.
▶ What’s the best part of your job: Spending time away from the desk and in the field. I also enjoy interacting with the employees I support.
▶ What accomplishment in the past year are you most proud of: Working with fellow employees to help reduce our raw materials losses for the year from 15 percent to 13 percent.

▶ Favorite off-work activity: Quality time with my wife (Leyla) and three children (Danica, Ayden and Piper). We enjoy going to the park and just playing around.
▶ What’s your favorite professional association, community or charitable involvement: Volunteering to help the fifth-grade student members of the Taylor Elementary School robotics club. As a volunteer instructor for the club, I teach them how to build, troubleshoot, and operate robotics.
▶ What do you drive: 2005 Chevy TrailBlazer.
▶ Beer or wine: Beer.
▶ What do you want to be doing in 2025: My ultimate goal is to be financially set and retired. More likely, I hope to have worked my way into a higher-level management position.
▶ What’s the best advice you’ve received: “Lead by example.”
▶ How do you define success: The atmosphere in which I work. A happy workplace is a productive workplace.
