CALV to host Commercial Education Day March 13

The Commercial Alliance Las Vegas is presenting its first Commercial Education Day of the year on March 13, offering commercial real estate classes for those in or considering a career in the industry.

Classes will be held at the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors building at 6360 S. Rainbow Blvd.

CALV President Cathy Jones, whose professional affiliations and designations include being a certified public accountant, a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors and a Certified Commercial Investment Member, said one of the primary goals of the CALV is to offer quality educational opportunities, especially for its members and specifically for members of the commercial real estate industry.

As with past courses, CALV is presenting fully accredited continuing education classes with an emphasis on commercial real estate taught by expert instructors with years of experience. The morning class on March 13 is on “Discovering Commercial Real Estate.”

The afternoon course is “Commercial Contracts – Do the Forms Really Matter?” The instructor for both courses is Soozi Jones Walker, CCIM, SIOR, a former CALV president and member of the Nevada Real Estate Commission with 40 years of local real estate industry experience.

The cost is $20 per class for CALV members, or $30 per class for non-members. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for those attending both courses.

In addition to the March 13 classes, CALV is also hosting Commercial Education Days at GLVAR on June 21, July 26 and Dec. 6.

“Whether you’re a seasoned commercial real estate practitioner needing continuing education credits or someone who wants to learn more about commercial real estate, you won’t want to miss attending one or all of these days,” Jones said.
