C-SUITE: Meet Alyssa Jacobitz, MaidenWhite Bridal Shop

Alyssa Jacobitz is the owner and president of the new MaidenWhite Bridal Shop.

Q: What are you reading?

A: I’m really enjoying the teachings of Sadhguru. Most recently, “Inner Engineering | A Yogi’s Guide to Joy.” It’s a great juxtaposition to the busy life I lead as a business owner that is all about self-transformation, shifting your perspective and observing the world around you without letting it affect your sense of inner peace.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant or place to take clients?

A: That’s a tough question because I love trying new things and exploring new cuisine. Scotch 80 Prime at the Palms was easily a favorite pre-pandemic. Esther’s Kitchen in downtown Las Vegas is currently at the top of the list.

Q: How do you decompress after a long week?

A: Having a work-life-play balance is one of my top priorities. And as a natural introvert, I find that having some “me” time after a long week is the most reviving thing I can do. This usually includes a at-home spa day and facial massage, as well as meditation and quiet time out in nature. After I’ve decompressed, I’m ready to hang out with my husband and two dogs, and I always enjoy a good game night.

Q What do you do to workout?

A: Anything, and everything! Yoga, HIIT sessions, spin bike, weight training and even a good hike. I find that varying it up constantly is a great way to keep things fresh and exciting.

Q: What is the biggest challenge facing Southern Nevada?

A: Definitely how hard the pandemic hit us, particularly being a tourist-centric city. The ripple effects that it has had on our economy and the morale has been devastating. It’s so incredible to see the city coming back to life, and with the sense of hope that we will return to glory again.
