Cassie Catania-Hsu is the managing director of CBRE | Market Leader, Las Vegas. Catania-Hsu oversees all CBRE Advisory lines of business for the Las Vegas Valley, including advisory and transaction services, capital markets, debt and structured finance, property management and valuation and advisory services. A nearly 30-year resident of Las Vegas, she has more than a decade of experience in local commercial real estate. Catania-Hsu has a Bachelor of Science in real estate from the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), a commercial real estate certification from the UNLV LIED Center for Real Estate and is a graduate of the 2018 Developing Leaders Institute from NAIOP Southern Nevada. Catania-Hsu serves on the NAIOP Southern Nevada board of directors and CREW Las Vegas board of directors.
Q: What are you reading?
A: I’m part of a commercial real estate industry book club and we are currently reading “The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World” by Dalai Lama. It’s been an enlightening book, especially given the current times.
Q: What is your favorite restaurant or place to take clients?
A: Honestly, it’s been awhile since I’ve taken any clients to restaurants or tried any new restaurants in town, but I did have a fabulous meal recently at Monzu Italian. I highly recommend!
Q: How do you decompress after a long week?
A: After a long week, I usually spend time with my husband and 4-year old daughter. She has endless energy and will usually make us have dance parties with her on Friday nights.
Q: What do you do to workout?
A: I’ve been doing CrossFit on and off for over 10 years and the last year I signed up with a virtual trainer and have been completing CrossFit workouts in my garage with the small home gym we’ve built over time.
Q: What is the biggest challenge facing Southern Nevada?
A: Currently the lack of convention business and tourism is impacting our community. These industries are a vital part of our economy. I look forward to the days when our city is buzzing again.
