C-SUITE: Meet Christine Tonn, Cure 4 The Kids president

Christine Tonn is the president of Cure 4 The Kids.

Q: What are you reading?

A: Currently I am reading “The Happiness Advantage.” This book explores the link between personal happiness and professional success.

Q: What is your favorite restaurants or place to take clients?

A: I really enjoy having meetings at Grape Street. The food is great and Downtown Summerlin is a good location.

Q: How do you decompress after a long week?

A: Spend time with my husband and children. I like playing the weekends by ear and not being on a schedule.

Q: What do you like most about living and/or working in Las Vegas?

A: I like making a difference in a town that changes significantly from one decade to the next. Cure 4 The Kids Foundation is the only option for pediatric oncology in Southern Nevada. It is great to be that option that ensures some of Nevada’s most vulnerable children, medically speaking, do not have to travel out of state for care.

Q: What is the biggest challenge facing Southern Nevada?

A: There are many challenges facing Southern Nevada, especially in light of COVID. However, one of the bigger challenges is the shortage of health care professionals compared to the population, especially in the field of nursing.
