Q: What are you reading?

A: “The Ideal Team Player: How to recognize and cultivate the three essential virtues,” by Patrick Lenciono. The book gives tips on effective team-building and recommends you keep an eye out for three traits: hunger, humility and common sense.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant?

A: Hafez Persian Cuisine located in the culturally diverse area of Chinatown.

Q: Where do you work out, or play your favorite sport?

A: Daily exercise is essential for staying balanced. Besides working out at the KILO Club, I practice yoga and ride my Peloton. Once a week, I play tennis.

Q: How do you decompress after a hard week?

A: After a long week at work, I enjoy a Thai massage and spending time with my children.

Q: What is the biggest challenge facing Las Vegas in the next five years?

A: My outlook on Southern Nevada’s biggest challenges includes housing costs and the recovery of our local job market. The lack of housing inventory and making sure our local housing supply keeps up with what the city needs to meet the demand from thousands of new and existing residents is a big challenge. The housing shortage creates a barrier for prospective homeowners, including many first-time buyers. Job recovery relies on consumer spending, but that improvement depends on the path of the coronavirus and how it affects the leisure and hospitality industry.
