C-SUITE: Meet Whiskey Skies’ Joanne Vitale

Joanne Vitale is the owner and founder of Whiskey Skies, a Las Vegas-based online boutique.

Q: What are you reading?

A: I am currently reading “Traction” by Gino Wickman. It introduces the Entrepreneurial Operating System, which is a practical method for achieving business success. It has tons of simple yet powerful ways to give our leadership team more focus, growth opportunities and, most importantly, more enjoyment in what they do!

Q: What is your favorite restaurant or place to take clients?

A: I love Locale Italian Kitchen off Blue Diamond Road. They have fabulous food, drinks and great service.

Q: How do you decompress after a long week?

A: After a long week, I enjoy a nice night in hanging out on the couch or doing a home project. I love decorating my home or taking some time to do a quick DIY project. It’s a great way to take the mind off the daily routine.

Q: What do you like most about living and/or working in Las Vegas?

A: I love the easy accessibility. I am always busy from the moment I get up to the moment I head to bed. Living in a city that is practically open 24 hours is ideal for those of us on the go. I love that you can grocery shop at any hour of the day. Plus, there is never a shortage of things to do. Las Vegas always has new entertainment, restaurants, and now we even have professional sports!

Q: What is the biggest challenge facing Southern Nevada?

A: The water shortage that is affecting the Colorado River and Lake Mead is definitely something to keep an eye on. As our city continues to grow very rapidly, both in number of residents and with all the new businesses transplanting here, the topic of water sustainability will become an even bigger part of living in Southern Nevada. Businesses, big and small, will have to be flexible and adjust.
