Communities In Schools of Nevada has hired Ricky D. Gourrier Sr. as government affairs and community relations manager for the Nevada affiliate of the national dropout prevention and integrated student support provider. Gourrier will be responsible for enhancing awareness and increasing visibility of the program to elected officials and key community leaders. Gourrier brings more than a decade of experience in youth development, and was recently the founding executive director of the Samuel L. Smith Educational Foundation. Gourrier also served as the executive director of the Nevada Afterschool Network and as a youth development specialist for the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension.
MANAGEMENT
Nationwide Power Solutions Inc. has promoted Gina Nielsen to national service manager. Nielsen, who joined Nationwide Power three years ago, will be responsible for managing the customer service and escalation functions of the power service provider.
