• Clark County Credit Union (CCCU) announced Amber Avila has been named vice president of branch operations and member experience.
Avila began her career with CCCU in August 2011 as a teller at the Tenaya branch and has grown within the organization through several frontline and leadership roles. A proud Las Vegas native, Avila is certified as a Credit Union Executive from the Western Credit Union Management School, and also recently earned her bachelor’s degree in business management. She is pursuing her master’s degree while balancing work responsibilities.
In her new role, Avila will oversee branch operations and lead initiatives to enhance the member experience across all CCCU locations.

Church brings more than 25 years of industry experience and an impressive record of successful commercial relationship management in the Las Vegas market. Her proven track record of cultivating and nurturing longtime client relationships reflects her expertise in providing fully tailored financial solutions through lending, treasury and investment services.
In this role, she will collaborate with local banking professionals to serve businesses and develop strategies to support the Las Vegas commercial banking team’s growth trajectory in the region.

• KNPR announced the promotions to two key staffers with the organization: Paul Boger and Mike Prevatt.
Boger has been named host of KNPR’s “State of Nevada,” and will continue producer duties. Based in Reno, his reporting focuses on state and local politics, as well as public lands and education in Nevada.
— Before joining Nevada Public Radio, Boger was the politics editor at KUNR until 2021. He also worked as a general assignment reporter at Mississippi Public Broadcasting and graduated from Troy University in Alabama. Boger grew up in the military but spent most of his formative years in Southern California and Arizona. He has lived in Nevada since 2017 and enjoys hiking, camping and exploring the Great Basin and eastern Sierra.
— Prevatt has been promoted to senior producer and has been a producer for “State of Nevada” since 2019. He produces and occasionally hosts segments covering arts, culture and entertainment; gaming and tourism; sports; Nevada’s marijuana industry; and other areas of Nevada life. He also contributes to Desert Companion magazine.
He’s been a journalist in Las Vegas since moving here in 1998, serving as a music and entertainment editor and writer for alt-weeklies Las Vegas CityLife and Las Vegas Weekly, where he collectively garnered 10 Nevada Press Association awards. Originally from Los Angeles, Prevatt’s a voracious consumer of music, film, art, books and theater, as well as an unabashed enthusiast of roller coasters, craft beer and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
