Workplace Therapy to hold conference March 23

Updated March 5, 2024 - 12:55 pm

Workplace Therapy, an empowering women’s conference that will address many common issues that impact optimal mental health and livelihood, inside and outside the workplace, will launch during Women’s History Month at A Moment in Time Events (30 Via Brianza, Unit 130) at Lake Las Vegas from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on March 23.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with top wellness, and business experts who will share their story, strategies and tips to navigate limiting beliefs, perfectionism and burnout. Workplace Therapy guests will learn about the significance of maintaining a growth mindset, establishing reliable routines, the power of asking for help and creating actionable steps to find balance between the workplace and home.

The team of esteemed speakers and panelists will include famed celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton, and former Miss Nevada and professional development guru, Lisa Song Sutton.

According to CNBC, research has found that women are less likely to be promoted than men yet more likely to head single-parent families and take on unpaid labor — all things that can intensify burnout.

“Women, more than ever, are being pulled in so many directions, contributing to an overwhelming amount of stress, that it’s absolutely no surprise that statistics show that nearly half of working American women say they’re burnt out,” said Hazel Atkinson-Brown MHSA, MPH, CPXP, MRW, a local health care professional and founder of Workplace Therapy. “As we celebrate Women’s International Month, it’s imperative to recognize the interconnectedness of women’s well-being and their professional and personal lives. By addressing common issues impacting women’s mental health, inside and outside of the workplace, we pave the way for transformation, resilience and the pursuit of our fullest potential.”
