FEA Consulting Engineers celebrates year with national awards

FEA Consulting Engineers, the leading engineering firm in Southern Nevada in the casino, resort, hospitality and entertainment sectors, reached new heights in 2025 with remarkable growth and success across several major industries. This year’s achievements resulted in an unprecedented number of local and national recognitions for the Las Vegas-based firm.

Founded in 1990, FEA has evolved into a multidisciplinary firm known for its client-focused approach and ability to engineer some of the region’s most complex and high-profile projects. Its portfolio features many of Las Vegas’ most influential developments, including Formula One Las Vegas, Resorts World, Durango Station Casino Resort, Universal Horror Unleashed, Circa Resort and Area 15 District 2, many of which continue to shape the Las Vegas skyline and entertainment districts. The firm’s expanding work across these markets helped drive a standout year that garnered attention far beyond Nevada.

FEA achieved an extraordinary milestone when the firm made its debut on the prestigious 2025 Inc. 5000 list, Inc.’s nationally recognized ranking of the fastest-growing and most successful private companies in the country. Following a year of significant revenue growth, FEA was ranked No. 2,848.

“Being named to the Inc. 5000 for the first time is a defining moment for our firm,” said Boyd Erickson, vice president of FEA. “It’s rewarding to have our team’s innovation and growth recognized on a national level, especially in a year when so many businesses have shown amazing resilience. This honor reflects the trust our clients place in us and the steady dedication of our entire team.”

This feat comes during a year in which FEA’s work across major projects and industries earned additional national recognition through the Giants 400 list by Building Design + Construction, a long-standing and prominent trade publication for professionals in the architecture, engineering and construction industries. The firm made the Top 10 list for hospitality facility engineering firms, coming in at No. 9 in the country.

FEA was ranked as a top engineering firm in several other Giants 400 engineering firm categories, including airport facility, data center, government building, multifamily, apartment and condominium, senior living facility, student housing, office building, retail engineering, K-12 school, sports facility and university building.

FEA was later named one of the Top 11 Small Engineering Workplaces in the U.S by Engineering.com, in partnership with Top Workplaces and Energage. The program honors companies that lead the industry in innovation, workplace culture and employee satisfaction.

This fall, FEA was nationally recognized in Consulting-Specifying Engineer’s prestigious 2025 MEP Giants list of the top 100 mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) and fire protection engineering firms in North America.

FEA closed out the year with its third consecutive Gold Winner recognition in the engineering category of the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s 2025 Best of Las Vegas. The 44th-annual Best of Las Vegas is the city’s most popular and trusted awards program, with millions of votes cast by Southern Nevadans each year.

One of the firm’s standout accomplishments includes the Formula One Las Vegas project, which earned LEED Silver certification for sustainable design, one of FEA’s core priorities. The firm provided full MEP, low-voltage and lighting design for the paddock building, which was recognized for its sustainable features, including efficient systems, water-conserving landscaping and convenient access to eco-friendly transportation options.

“We’re proud of all that our team accomplished this year,” said FEA Principal Justin Veilleux, who earlier this year received the 2025 Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award from UNLV’s Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering. “These awards reflect the hard work behind every project and the strong relationships we’ve built with our clients over the years, both in Las Vegas and across the country.”
