Henderson Chamber to hold businesses workshops

As part of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Roadmap to Success workshop series, Kellen Kautzman, owner of Send It Rising Internet Marketing, will present “DIY Internet Marketing” from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., March 7, at the Henderson Business Resource Center’s Seminar Room (in the Wells Fargo Building), 112 S. Water St. in Downtown Henderson.

During the workshop, Kautzman will discuss how to market a business with cutting-edge Search Engine Optimization (SEO), social media and pay per click techniques that anyone can apply.

Kautzman manages a team of more than 20 internet marketing professionals and wrote the book, “Everybody’s Doing It: Advertising Redefined by an SEO Expert,” which is available in digital and paperback on Amazon.

The workshop is open to all chamber members and the public. There is no cost for Henderson Chamber members. Registration for non-members is $25. An additional $10 will be charged for walk-in attendees. RSVP online at www.hendersonchamber.com by March 6.

The Roadmap to Success workshop series covers a variety of seminars offered on the first and third Thursday of every month, with the exception of summer, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Henderson Business Resource Center. Topics include health care, business, finance, insurance and marketing.

HENDERSON BUSINESS PANEL TO DISCUSS ‘REDEVELOPING WATER STREET’

The Henderson Development Association (HDA) will host a luncheon and panel discussion, “Redeveloping Water Street: Success in Downtown Henderson,” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., March 8 at the Henderson Hotel and Casino, 777 W. Lake Mead Parkway.

Moderated by Scott Muelrath, president and CEO of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, the panel will consist of Stephanie Garcia-Vause, city of Henderson assistant city manager; Matt Kershaw, chief executive officer of Clark County Credit Union; Windom Kimsey, president and CEO of Tate Snyder Kimsey Architects; and Juan Vazquez, managing partner of Juan’s Flaming Fajitas and Cantina.

The Henderson Redevelopment Agency has been working to create a refined vision for the Water Street District, which envelops an authentic, welcoming downtown core, including community gather space with retail, professional services, family and nightlife entertainment, employment centers, educational opportunities and residents.

The event is sponsored by GC Garcia, Republic Services, R&O Construction, tsk Architects, Co-Operation on Water and Water Street District Business Association.

Cost for Henderson Chamber of Commerce members is $50, $80 for non-members. The last day to register is March 6. There will be a $10 additional charge for walk-ins.
