Las Vegas Hospitality Association’s summer educational luncheon — titled “Tackling Sports: The Emerging Market and How it Benefits Las Vegas Hospitality”— will be held from noon – 1:30 p.m., with check-in at 11:30 a.m., in East Ballroom 7-8 of the Monte Carlo, 3770 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
Attendees will learn the overall impact of special events such as National Finals Rodeo, the Pac-12 Conference Tournament and the National Basketball Association Summer League and how businesses benefit; also how special events, festivals and the growing sports market are changing Las Vegas and the hospitality industry. A panel discussion will include Scott Voeller, senior vice president of partnership and event marketing, MGM Resorts International; Dale Eeles, vice president of development, Las Vegas Events; Jim Livengood, Hall of Fame athletic director at UNLV, Arizona, Washington State and Southern Illinois; and John Saccenti, executive director at ESPN Events – Las Vegas Bowl.
