CITY OF Henderson honored for Southern Nevada Strong effort

The City of Henderson’s leadership and efforts in reaching out to the public about Southern Nevada Strong were honored with the American Planning Association’s 2016 National Planning Excellence Award for Public Outreach. The award was presented during APA’s National Planning Conference in Phoenix. The public outreach award honors an individual, project or program that uses information and education about the value of planning to create greater awareness among citizens or specific segments of the public.

Bryan joins Judicial College board

Richard Bryan, former U.S. senator and Nevada governor, will serve a three-year term on the National Judicial College’s Board of Trustees. Bryan has been a long-time supporter of the National Judicial College, twice presenting the Jackson Lecture to the graduates of the college’s general jurisdiction course. Bryan is a director at Fennemore Craig, where he practices in the area of government relations at the federal, state and local levels. The NJC Board of Trustees fosters a climate of excellence, promotes the development of innovative education programs and provides leadership in achieving the college’s mission.
