Vivint Solar, a residential solar system provider, has opened a Las Vegas office with plans to add another one.
The Provo, Utah-based company is also debuting offices in Albuquerque, N.M., and New Haven and Stamford, Conn.
"We are excited to continue our growth as we enter into these new states. It enables us to continue offering affordable, renewable energy to more people," Chance Allred, senior vice president of sales, said in a statement. "Our expansion into these states will also create new job opportunities for employees with diverse skill sets."
Vivint Solar is operating at 7370 Dean Martin Drive and will be opening an additional office at a later date.
Vivint Solar will also be hiring employees in sales, installations and operations. Las Vegas area job postings on Vivintâs website include solar warehouse lead and solar warehouse specialist.

Alliance joins Lamar
Lamar Advertising Company acquired Alliance Airport Advertising earlier this month.
Alliance operates airport advertising concessions at McCarran International Airport; Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport; Salt Lake City International Airport; Portland International Airport; and Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, Calif.
The transaction means that Lamar, a Baton Rouge, La.-based company, will operate advertising concessions at dozens of airports, adding a variety of traditional advertising and experiential displays.
"We are thrilled to bring the Alliance team on board," Lamar Chief Executive Sean Reilly said in a statement. "As we‘ve gotten to know the airport advertising business over the last several years, we have recognized that it‘s a terrific fit within Lamar. Alliance has established powerful relationships with some of the nation‘s leading airports, and we look forward to extending their proven operating model to additional airports."
Shauna Forsythe, who founded Alliance 16 years ago and served as its president and chief executive, will lead Lamar‘s airport division, which will be known as Lamar Alliance Airport Advertising.
"Bringing our two companies together creates a powerhouse for our airport partners," Forsythe said in a statement. "Our expanded footprint will offer airports nationwide the opportunity to experience our personal attention and service, with strengthened sales. We are the alternative. And weâre a good one."
Nevada 37th for work

The personal finance websiteâs report, "The Best and Worst States to Make a Living 2015," determined which states give workers the best shot at a bigger paycheck, a decent cost of living and safe workplaces as well as which ones stunt job growth.
Nevada ranked 37th on the list with an average income of $42,310, unemployment rate of 7.1 percent and work incidents per 100 workers at 4.1 percent.
Texas was named the best state to make a living for 2015, moving up from second place last year.
Hawaii came in last in the analysis due to its high cost of living. According to MoneyRates.com, workers in Hawaii get the equivalent value of 55 cents for every dollar they make.
MoneyRates.com evaluated average wages and unemployment rate from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, state tax rates, cost of living, which was sourced from the Council for Community and Economic Researchâs Cost of Living Index, as well as incidents of workplace illness, injuries and fatalities, according to employer reports to the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses.
