Tina Quigley to speak at Top Workplace Nevada event

Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance CEO and President Tina Quigley will be the keynote speaker for the 2022 Top Workplaces Nevada awards event.

“I am proud to announce Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance CEO and President Tina Quigley as our keynote speaker for the 2022 Top Workplace Nevada awards ceremony,” said Tom Heaton, senior director of advertising for the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “She has a broad understanding of the state’s economic landscape and has extensive expertise in infrastructure and economic development. We are so looking forward to her talk with our top business leaders at this event.”

Quigley joined the LVGEA early this year. In her position she works with regional economic development stakeholders and workforce training programs.

Prior to the LVGEA, Quigley served as CEO for the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada. She oversaw the region’s public transportation, traffic management center, road construction and funding and regional planning.

Quigley is known for embracing technological advances, advocating for comprehensive future planning and a collaborative approach to projects.

Quigley began her career as a planner at Harry Reid International Airport where, over 15 years, she grew to oversee the major capital projects program. She is a licensed pilot and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in airport planning and development from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s Program for Leadership Development.

She is active on several boards including Workforce Connections, NV GrantLab, Fulfillment Fund of Las Vegas, Desert Research Institute and the Nevada Chapter of the International Women’s Forum.

This year, 56 companies were chosen by their employees as Nevada Top Workplaces. That’s 14 more companies than last year, a record number for this campaign.

Energage, a Philadelphia-based research company, conducted an extensive employee survey process on 91 companies out of the 1,532, which were invited to participate in the process. That also was a record high for Nevada Top Workplaces. Energage calculated the winners based solely on employee feedback. Each participating company received a free overview of its survey results. The surveyed companies employ more than 28,600 Nevada workers.

This year, there are 29 newcomers to the winners list. Some include Clark County Credit Union, DraftKings Inc. and YMCA of Southern Nevada.

Top Workplaces Nevada has four divisions: large, 500 or more employees; midsize, 150-499 employees; and small, 149 or fewer employees in the region.
