Fashion for Autism soiree at the Aria

The 6th annual Fashion for Autism Gala will be held 6 – 9 p.m. Nov. 5, at the Aria, 3730 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The theme of the evening is “Bringing a Solution Into Focus.” The annual fashion event celebrates community members leading the fight against autism and benefits the Grant a Gift Autism Foundation. After the reception, FOX 5 Las Vegas’ Jason Feinberg will host the live fashion show, followed by the awards ceremony honoring Maureen E. Schaefer, chief of staff, UNLV School of Medicine, and Donna J. Curry, Subway development agent and franchisee. Tickets are $250 per person in advance. United Way of Southern Nevada’s Women’s Leadership Council will host annual drive

The eighth annual Women’s Fall Suit Drive will be hosted by United Way of Southern Nevada’s Women’s Leadership Council, 7 a.m. – 2 p.m., Nov. 6 at the NV Energy parking lot, 6226 W. Sahara Ave. The council is collecting new and gently-used professional attire including suits, dresses, pants and tops on hangers and jewelry, shoes, belts, scarves and handbags to assist women in need. The drive helps women prepare for career opportunities and gain confidence to succeed in the workplace. Donations will benefit United Way accredited agencies with back to work programs for women. Foundation assisting seniors and veterans holds charity golf tournament

The Foundation Assisting Seniors and the Veterans of Sun City Aliante’s first charity golf tournament raised an estimated $7,000 for the Foundation’s programs. The event was held Oct. 10, at the Aliante Golf Club.

Caesars Entertainment supports Backpack for Kids

Caesars Entertainment’s Back to School food drive in August collected more than 2,300 pounds of food to support Three Square’s Backpack for Kids program. Harrah’s employees also participated in a “no-tie” fundraiser, which generated an additional $1,660. Since 2011, Caesars Entertainment food drives have collected nearly 16,000 pounds of food for Three Square. Caesars Employees have also donated more than 2,300 volunteer hours. Representatives from Caesars paid a visit to Three Square Oct. 13 to present the check to Three Square’s CEO, Brian Burton.
