Polar Shades purchases manufacturing facility

POLAR SHADES PURCHASES MANUFACTURING FACILITY

Experiencing exponential growth ever since it opened in 1994, Polar Shades Inc., a leading manufacturer and interior and exterior window shades, drapery tracks and retractable screen doors, recently purchased a new and larger manufacturing facility at 5520 Stephanie St.

Nevada State Development Corp. (NSDC), a SBA 504 loan provider, partnered with Bank of Nevada, a division of Western Alliance Bank, to fund the $4,725,587 purchase. NSDC’s part was a $1,934,000 SBA loan, and the bank amount was $2,362,500.00.

“Our new facility will house not only what was in our other two buildings but gives us the space to continue to grow our business,” said Steven Mevius, owner of Polar Shades. “Over the years, our company has grown from a small family-owned and operated business to more than 60 employees. The process of finalizing our latest loan through NSDC was a very good and seamless process,” he said. “Our new facility will give us the space we need to continue to grow the business.”
