▶ Company: Three Square Food Bank
▶ What do you REALLY do? Oversee all aspect of Three Square’s childhood nutrition programs, and senior grocery programs. Build and maintain relationships with other community partners that serve these vulnerable populations to give them access to food.
▶ What’s the best part of your job: I get to be creative. There is no one way to serve our community. What works for another state or another program may not work here. I work with a fantastic team of individuals who understand this and are willing to try anything.
▶ What accomplishment in the past year are you most proud of: Three Square’s growth. We’ve increased the number of meal sites for after-school meals and summer meals quite significantly.
▶ Where’s the best place to network: For a nonprofit worker, joining the Young Nonprofit Professional Network is great. They offer a lot of mixers and events.
▶ Facebook or LinkedIn: Facebook.
▶ Favorite off-work activity: Travel. Yoga. Hangin’ with my niece — she’s only 1½ years old and every minute with her is amazing.
▶ What’s your favorite professional association, community or charitable involvement: As a member of both YNPN and Junior League of Las Vegas, it’s hard to pick just one.
▶ What do you drive: Scion XB.
▶ Beer or wine: Beer, please.
What do you want to be doing in 2025: I’m on the operational side of things; in 2025, I’d like to be on the advocacy side.
▶ What’s the best advice you’ve received: “The only people who don’t make mistakes are the people who don’t do anything,” and, “You’ll never be judged by how you react to a good situation, everyone can do that. It’s how you react to the bad situations that will define you.” Both are from my father.
▶ How do you define success: Follow through.
