The Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce unveiled a new set of member benefits and discounts April 1 to bring additional value to its membership.
Senior Communications Director Cara Clarke said chamber members can take advantage of new discounts at United Parcel Service, Dell, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and LegalShield, and get discounted vision and dental insurance, workers compensation insurance and small-business health insurance.
“These discounts are designed to drive more tangible value so our members can see the savings as they go about doing normal types of business,” Clarke said. “Companies have to ship, buy office supplies and computer equipment so this is a way for them to see bottom line savings.”
Also, Clarke said, the chamber introduced an ROI calculator on its website, which businesses can use to calculate the savings from the discounts, based on the size of their business and types of expenditures.
“We’re coming out of a recession,” Clarke said, “and though our economy has strengthened, companies want to look at what they’re spending money on and feel confident that they’re being as cost effective as possible on the things they choose to invest in on behalf of their business.”
An enhanced member directory listing was also rolled out on the chamber’s website that lets members include their website, map and directions to their business, discount offers, social media links, photos and videos. The site also offers messaging capabilities for website users to contact them directly.
“When they business is contacted, it shows them that it’s coming directly from the chamber website so they’re able measure their reach based on their membership,” Clarke said.
The chamber is also offering three new marketing packages tailored to specific business needs.
“We’re working hard to educate our members about the new features, discounts and perks we’re offering them,” Clarke said. “Connecting with the chamber will make the most difference in their business.”
