▶ Company: The Meadows School
▶ What do you REALLY do? I work to remind everyone at school that we’re all (teachers, parents, students) on the same team, and that what’s best for students is 99.9 percent of the time what’s best for everyone.
▶ What’s the best part of your job: I have complete access to some of the best teaching and learning happening in the state. I love dropping in on classes to see what our faculty and students are up to. It’s really incredible what these kids are capable of when encouraged and inspired by talented teachers.
▶ What accomplishment in the past year are you most proud of: Although “humbled by” is more accurate than “proud of,” being named Head of School at the most rigorous college preparatory school in the region was a huge honor.
▶ Where’s the best place to network: The Meadows School carpool line.
▶ Facebook or LinkedIn: Facebook.
▶ Favorite off-work activity: Running.
▶ What’s your favorite professional association, community or charitable involvement: I think that because I am CEO of a nonprofit, I’m obliged to say that my favorite charitable entity is The Meadows School! Beyond that, I’m a big fan of the program and mission of the Springs Preserve.
▶ What do you drive: Volvo XC90.
▶ Beer or wine: Vodka.
▶ What do you want to be doing in 2025: Toasting the fact that The Meadows School’s 40th anniversary celebration has successfully come and gone.
▶ What’s the best advice you’ve received: Although I’m no better at following it than he was, my father advised me repeatedly to try not to waste time worrying about things beyond my control.
▶ How do you define success: With a dictionary.
